Ten Things of Thankful 5/5/23

Gratitude brings a shift in consciousness. It can literally change your neural pathways to allow you to feel happiness more easily. I hope that these posts inspire you to think of your own: Ten Things of Thankful!
Today I’m posting about people that I admire.
1. After reviewing many studies, the director of the George Washington University College of Medicine came to the conclusion that: if a person leads a healthy lifestyle, has feasible physical activity and has full mental activity, intellectual abilities DO NOT decrease with age, but only GROW, reaching a peak by the age of 80-90 years.

2. Steve Hartman. A broadcast journalist who shows real people doing wonderful things.

3. Susan Brearly. Susan began The Garden Of Neuro as an antidote to toxic social media platforms. It’s about supporting each other with compassion and information. The Garden has groups, called Circles, for everything from surviving cancer to writing poetry, book clubs and more. And, if you have an interest that’s not covered, you can start a new one. I’ve met kind, intelligent women from all over the world and am grateful to have found this group. All who identify as women are welcome. 4. Nuseir Yassin is an Arab-Israeli vlogger who has created over 1,000 daily, one-minute-long videos about people all over the world. He posts as Nas Daily: https://nasdaily.com
His tagline: We Are A Force For Good

5. Wes Cherry, the inventor of Microsoft solitaire.

6. My friend, Andy. He got cancer, lost his business, had additional medical issues, lost his father and then lost a close friend in a mass shooting. Learned to sing in 11 languages, put up youtube videos, started performing live and recorded several albums. Started running marathons and won medals in the Senior Games. Whenever I think: I can’t. I think of Andy. https://nsga.com/mr-impossible/
7. My friend, Debbie. A shining beacon in how to live your life honestly. She has ups and downs and no fear in being vulnerable. Talking with her is so refreshing, you never know what you’re going to get, but you’ll know that it’s the truth.
8. RuPaul

9. Doing Good Together. Our Mission: Empowering families to raise children who care and contribute. https://www.doinggoodtogether.org
10. My brother-in-law. Always there for whatever is needed. Never asks why, just says I’m on my way.

This brought many smiles to my face. Thank you for sharing.

  2. What a great list and a terrific idea for a TToT list! I’m particularly partial to #1, as I am getting up there! Maybe by the time I am 80 I will have outgrown my ADHD, too!
